How to get to Tonopah - N 38° 04.038 W 117° 13.800
(the author assumes no responsibility if her map is wrong - you're
geocachers, go find it!)
- From Reno - Go South on Hwy 395 to just past Lee Vining,
turn East on Hwy 120 to Benton and follow Hwy 6 to Tonopah *OR*
Take I-80 to Fernley, turn south on Hwy 95 and stay on 95 to
Coaldale, turning East on Hwy 6 to Tonopah.
- From Vegas - Go North on Hwy 95 and stay on it till Tonopah
*OR* Take I-15 to Hwy 93, turn North and continue till Crystal
Springs, turn West on Hwy 375 (the E.T. Hwy) until you reach
Hwy 6, then turn West until Tonopah.
- From Ely - take Hwy 6 West to Tonopah (there really is no
other way to do that)
- From Elko - Take Hwy 228 South to Eureka, continue on Hwy
379 to Hwy 6 then turn West to Tonopah.
- From Winnemucca - Take I-80 East to Battle Mountain, turn
South on Hwy 305 to Austin, then East on Hwy 50 to Hwy 8A, then
turn South, following Hwy 8A to Hwy 6, finally turn West to Tonopah.
- From everywhere else - grab a map.
